Goldwell Announces 2016 Color Zoom Challenge U.S. Finalists

Goldwell recently announced the U.S. Finalists for this year’s 2016 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge, the brand's annual hair coloring competition. Leading colorists from across the country sent in entries for one of the three Color Zoom Challenge Categories – Creative Colorist, New Talent Colorist, and Partner Colorist – around the theme of D!SRUPT, which asked stylists to break through the conventional constraints of shape, color, and texture.

In June, applicants were narrowed to just 15 Semi-Finalists by a prestigious panel of industry experts. Following the Semi-Finalist round, the expert Goldwell Hair Color Global judges’ panel have now selected three Gold U.S. Finalists, one for each category.
Congratulations to the newest 2016 U.S. Gold Finalists: Creative Colorist, Colette Jones of GiddyUp Salon & Spa (Okanogan, WA); New Talent Colorist, Linda Cabrera of Hair By Scott & Co. (Delray Beach, FL); and Partner Colorist, Daniel Rubin of Trio Salon (Chicago, IL). These three National Gold Finalists will have the honor of competing live on behalf of the United States in the 2016 Color Zoom International Competition. This hands-on color competition will take place at Global Zoom in Stockholm on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016, giving contestants the opportunity to prove their creativity against other finalists from around the world and to earn the ultimate Global title.

The Goldwell Hair Care team also congratulates the runners up in each category. This year’s Silver Finalists include: Jacob Kahn of Jacob K. Hair (Atlanta, GA), Sophia Ance of Cortello Salon (Jacksonville Beach, FL), and David Peacemaker of David Ross Salon (Charlotte, NC).
This year’s Bronze Finalists include: Keely Martinez of Tangles Salon (Wichita Falls, TX), Veronica Inness of Bleach Hair Addiction (Miami, FL) and Rosa Hawkins of Dirosa Hairecare (Franklin Square, NY).
